What is Mindset Coaching

What Is Mindset Coaching? Mindset coaching focuses on clients' existing beliefs and patterns of thinking. A good mindset coach works to help clients recognize, question, and revise persistent patterns of thought (Kholghi, 2021).

As a coach, I avoid giving advice. Instead, the focus is on asking questions to help you identify and resolve problems and change beliefs on your own.

The goal is to explore where your mindset currently is, and it is true. Then, accept that your thinking needs to change and commit to the work to make the change happen.

The work requires identifying where your current mindset came from and what past events shaped and created your current mindset. First, we will identify your negative thoughts and then create a way to stop them by creating a pattern interrupt. A Pattern interrupt is a way to alter a person's mental, emotional, or behavioral state to break their typical habits.

As we do this, we begin creating new supportive beliefs and habits to support us.

This all takes time because our current habits took us our whole lives to create. In this process, we allow ourselves to ask the question of what do I want in life. Then generate the mindset to make it happen by creating small achievable goals.
